Menu & Wine List Design
Designed to feel like part of the experience.
A menu or wine list is more than somewhere to put prices.
It’s often one of the first things a customer picks up when they sit down, and it can say a lot about the character of a restaurant, bar, pub, hotel or venue before they’ve even ordered.
I design menus and wine lists that are clear, well organised and visually in keeping with the space they belong in — helping your food, drinks and brand feel considered from the moment the menu reaches the table.
Designed for the Table
Printed menus live in the real world, so practical details matter just as much as appearance.
Page size, readability, durability, folds, binding, margins, print finishes and how the menu will actually be handled all need to be considered from the beginning.
I prepare artwork correctly for print and can also help arrange production through my own trusted print contacts if required, at an additional agreed cost.
Good Design Makes Choosing Easier
Menus need to do a lot at once.
They need to look good, reflect the personality of the venue, organise information clearly and make it easy for customers to find what they want without feeling overwhelmed.
That means giving careful thought to typography, spacing, hierarchy, section order, pricing, descriptions, dietary information and the overall flow of the page.
The best menu designs don’t make the customer think about the design at all.
They simply make everything feel easier to read, easier to understand and more enjoyable to browse.
Whether you’re opening somewhere new, refreshing an existing menu, launching a seasonal range or simply feel your current design no longer reflects the quality of what you offer, I’d be happy to help.
